Dr. Whitney Rice is a Rollins Assistant Professor of Behavioral, Social and Health Education Sciences at Emory University, where she has been a faculty member since 2018. Dr. Rice is also the Director of the Center for Reproductive Health Research in the Southeast (RISE). Dr. Rice investigates social and structural factors that impede or enable equity in maternal and reproductive health outcomes, care delivery, and scholarship. Grounded in transdisciplinary training, her research program utilizes quantitative, qualitative, mixed methods, and stakeholder-engaged approaches to produce and translate research to key program- and policy-relevant audiences proximal to social and structural change.
