Dr. Dawn Tyus is a nationally recognized Behavioral Health Innovator and Strategist committed to building and supporting resilient communities faced with behavioral and mental health challenges. Dr. Tyus is a licensed mental health therapist with over two decades of experience leading transformative behavioral health projects and working with adults and adolescents. As a passionate advocate for accessible and culturally responsive care, Dr. Tyus blends clinical expertise with visionary leadership to develop healing and wellness programs that empower individuals and communities.

Dr. Tyus has been awarded and managed multi-million-dollar grants, led successful teams, and presented on national stages. Dr. Dawn Tyus is the Director and Principal Investigator of the former African American Behavioral Health Center of Excellence, and the Southeast Addiction Technology Transfer Center at Morehouse School of Medicine. She is also an adjunct faculty member in the Department of Online Education and Expanded Programs.
